The area offers plenty of outdoor areas in central North Carolina that are fun for the entire family. With some low mountains and hilly areas, the parks are diverse in their offerings and size. Triad Park Field of Honor

Sitting about halfway between Greensboro and Winston-Salem, this park is highlighted by a monument to those who have served the United States in battle. The park is 428 acres and you can rent a pavilion for your event at this link. You must reserve a shelter at least two weeks in advance.

County Park

In the northwest corner of Greensboro lies this wooded park with a fishing lake and nature trails. You can rent one of their shelters at this link. They have 5 shelters available and the price is $50 for a resident and $75 for a non resident. Lastly, they have pedal boats that you can rent.

Hester Park

South of downtown by about a 10 minute drive, this city park has a fishing lake, playground, and wedding gazebo. There are different sports activities there like horseshoes and sand volleyball. Use this link to rent one of their seven shelters. The prices are the same as County Park above but there is one that is $75 for residents and $100 for non residents. Finally, they also have picnic areas with barbeques that are first come, first serve.

Barber Park

This lovely park in northeast Greensboro is home to a baseball stadium, amphitheater, and disc golf course. There is also a sprayground for the kids. This link will take you to the rental site for a shelter. They have six different shelters and each one is $75 for residents and $100 for non residents.

Hagan-Stone Park

This 409 acre park is southeast of the Triad. Use this link to rent one of the shelters in this enormous park or to rent a campsite. There is also a chapel inside the park for rent. There is a heated event center at the heart of the park that can hold up to 80 people as well.
